Manitoba RCMP have charged a 19-year-old Winnipeg man with terrorism offences.
Nevin Thunder Young has been charged with two counts of committing an offence for a terrorist group, along with one count each of participation in the activity of a terrorist group and facilitating terrorist activity.
Young is in custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court Tuesday.
According to RCMP, the investigation started in February 2025 following a referral from the Winnipeg Police Service. Young was arrested on March 17.
Young was previously charged by Winnipeg police in January with 26 counts of mischief under $5,000 after anti-Semitic graffiti, including swastikas, were found painted in Charleswood between September and December 2024.
None of the charges in both cases have been proven in court.
