The City of Winnipeg is looking for the public’s feedback on what they love most about greenspaces.
On Tuesday, the city announced it has put out an online survey to inform the Greenspace Plan and Biodiversity Policy being developed as a way to protect natural areas while increasing biodiversity.
The survey asks Winnipeggers a variety of questions including where they go to connect with nature in the city, how often they visit green spaces in the warm and colder months, what types of green spaces they’d like to see in Winnipeg, and how concerned they are about protecting green spaces.
The city notes that it has partnered with First Nations, Métis and Inuit government to develop the Greenspace Plan.
The Greenspace Plan and Biodiversity Policy are expected to be finished by the end of 2026.
The survey is available online until April 15, 2025
