A local theatre company is lifting the curtain on its latest lineup.

Metis cabaret, an Agatha Christie classic, and Buddy the Elf will be gracing the stage with Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (Royal MTC).

“Each play we’ve assembled in our 2025/26 season will take you on an incredible journey. Of course you can visit one or two ‘cities’ but I invite you to join me on a first-class world tour, where you’ll enjoy the extraordinary experience of an entire season,” said Artistic Director Kelly Thornton in a media release.

Ten plays are part of the 2025/26 season programming from October 16 to March 28.

The season will kick off with “Life of Pi” on the main stage from October 16 to November 8. It’s based on the Yann Martel novel following a marooned teenager and tiger drifting on the ocean after a shipwreck.

It’s followed by “Elf- The Musical”, a Christmas classic about a human elf leaving the North Pole to find his father.

Other main stage shows include “Murder on the Orient Express”, “Rogers v. Rogers”, “The Last Wife”, and “Rubaboo – A Métis Cabaret”.

More information on when these are happening and what’s being put on Royal MTC’s Tom Hendry Warehouse is available on its website.
