Seven new acts have been added to the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s 2025 bill.
Peach Pit, The Lone Bellow, Jeffrey Martin, Dengue Fever, The Black Sea Station, SAND, and VÍÍK were announced Thursday as new additions to the 50th anniversary event.
The festival’s artistic director, Chris Frayer, said they typically add a few bands to the initial lineup to round out the event.
“We believe this year’s lineup truly embodies what the festival has always been about—discovering diverse indie artists from home and around the world,” he said in a news release.
The acts join previously announced headliners like Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, The Cat Empire, Ani DiFranco, Begonia and more.
This year’s festival runs July 10 to 13 at Birds Hill Provincial Park.
