Mark Carney in Winnipeg to meet with Liberal supporters

One of the candidates to be the next leader of the Liberal Party will be making a stop in Winnipeg

Mark Carney will be meeting with Liberal supporters Monday night.

Carney, a former Bank of Canada governor, is one of five candidates looking to replace Justin Trudeau as leader. Chrystia Freeland, Karina Gould, Frank Baylis and Ruby Dhalla are the remaining candidates in the race.

Members of the Liberal Party will select a new leader on March 9.
