Manitoba RCMP searching for home invasion suspect

The Manitoba RCMP is searching for a suspect allegedly involved in a home invasion in Pukatawagan, Man., on Sunday.

Police allege a man, who is known to the residents of the home, broke into the residence and threatened a 27-year-old woman with a machete. RCMP noted there were kids inside the home at the time of the incident, but no one was physically injured.

Mounties responded to the home invasion around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, discovering damage to the front door of the home.

The suspect, who has been identified as 27-year-old Triston Bear, fled the scene before police arrived.

Bear currently has a warrant of arrest for a separate incident and is facing more charges, including assault with a weapon and break and enter.
