LaSalle police have charged a 44-year-old woman with stunt driving near school buses.
Police say the Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle in the 9400 block of Malden Road travelling at double the posted speed limit on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman’s stunt driving charge resulted in an automatic licence suspension for 30 days and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.
At the time of the offence, police say there were school buses nearby with students onboard.
LaSalle police officers are stressing the importance of safe driving practices when school buses are nearby as they make frequent stops and drop students off who may then cross the road.
