Via Rail is apologizing to its customers involved in the stoppage and delay of a journey on Feb.14.
With 211 passengers on board, Train 73, travelling from Toronto to Windsor, was stopped in Thamesville at 3:10 pm. because of a mechanical failure.
According to the company, the emergency response plan was activated and buses were brought in for a safe evacuation and to transport passengers for the rest of their journey.
All affected passengers received a full refund along with a 100 per cent travel credit for future trips.
