Identities wanted in counterfeit cash investigation

The Windsor Police Service would like help identifying two suspects wanted in a counterfeit currency investigation.

According to the WPS, a man and woman went into three retail stores in Windsor on Jan. 9 and Jan. 10. While in the stores, the suspects allegedly used more than $5,000 in counterfeit American $50 bills to buy items, getting Canadian money as change.

The total value of money and merchandise was more than $5,900.

Officers believe the suspects were driving a white SUV, potentially a Volkswagen Atlas or Tiguan.
