$23,000 in controlled substances seized in Chatham-Kent raid

On Jan. 29, Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) carried out a search warrant at a Chatham residence.

Police say that a search of the Florence St. home resulted in the seizure of a variety of controlled substances and related contraband.

- 223 grams of cocaine

- Approximately 100 Oxycodone tablets

- 4.4 grams of fentanyl

- Cell phones

- Digital scales

- Packaging

- A large sum of Canadian currency

Police say that a 65-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both residents of Chatham face two charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine, oxycodone), and a charge of possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl).
