A woman has been hospitalized after being stabbed in the Surrey neighbourhood of Cloverdale, Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 6300 block of Sundance Drive shortly after 12:30 p.m. following a report a woman had been stabbed by a man in the area, the Surrey Police Services said in a statement Sunday.
According to police, the woman made her way to another home on the street where she received first aid from a neighbour and Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit officers. Paramedics then transported her to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, who is known to the victim, had driven away from the scene before police arrived, and was found in Langley and arrested a few hours later.
The suspect remains in custody, said police.
