Victim of suspected impaired driving crash in Delta, B.C., has died, police say

One of the victims of a suspected impaired driving crash in Delta, B.C., earlier this month has died, authorities revealed Wednesday.

The head-on crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. on March 5, near 62B Street and 60 Avenue, leaving both drivers and a third person hospitalized.

One of the drivers was arrested for impairment, the Delta Police Department said.

The other driver, who has not been publicly identified, succumbed to their injuries Tuesday.

“The Delta police extend our condolences to the family and friends of this driver,” the DPD said, in a news release.

Authorities said they have yet to recommend charges against the suspected impaired driver, and urged potential witnesses to come forward to help their investigation.
