Mounties say it is remarkable that no one was hurt when a woman crashed her Jeep into a hydro pole on Vancouver Island Wednesday evening.
Police – along with firefighters, paramedics and BC Hydro crew – were called to the 1400 block of Kangaroo Road in Metchosin just before 8 p.m.
“The driver who is identified as a 38-year-old woman was exhibiting signs of alcohol impairment,” a news release from the West Shore RCMP said.
The woman was handed an immediate 90-day driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days, authorities said.
