Authorities have issued a public warning about a fugitive wanted in the B.C. Interior who sometimes goes by the nickname “Cheeseburger.”
David Lee Russell, 35, is wanted for aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, obstructing a peace officer and failing to comply with a probation order, the Williams Lake RCMP said in a news release Thursday.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and the public should “under no circumstances” attempt to approach him, according to the release.
“If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area,” the detachment added. “Do not confront David Lee Russell.”
The fugitive is described as an Indigenous man, 5’11” tall, 225 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
Apart from Cheeseburger, Russell also sometimes goes by “CB,” according to the RCMP.
