Three suspects are outstanding after a jewelry store at a mall in Burlington was targeted in a smash-and-grab-style robbery.
The incident happened on Monday at around 6 p.m. at Arain Jewellers at Burlington Centre Mall on Guelph Line.
Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) said three male suspects entered the store as an employee was closing for the evening.
One of the suspects then allegedly pushed the employee to the back of the store before the suspects started smashing glass displays with a hammer, stealing the jewelry inside.
Polices said the suspects were in the store for a short time before they fled via the mall’s north exit, which faces Fairview Street.
The suspects, whom police said were all dressed in black, were last seen getting into a blue Honda CRV and leaving in an unknown direction.
Police said their getaway vehicle was stolen.
No other weapons were seen, and no injuries were reported.
