A Niagara police officer is in hospital after being injured while responding to a domestic violence call in Fort Erie Saturday afternoon.
Police received the call at 3:30 p.m. The incident happened in the area of Spears Road North and Gilmore Road.
It is not immediately known how the officer got injured, but police said they were taken to an out-of-town hospital, where they are in stable condition.
Police added that the officer’s family had been notified.
Meanwhile, a suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
