Prince Albert police investigating fender bender turned shooting

A minor collision at a Prince Albert business escalated to a shooting early Sunday morning, according to police.

At around 2:20 a.m., officers with the Prince Albert Police Service met with a man in the service’s parking lot. Multiple bullet holes were found on the vehicle.

According to police, the victim reported he was at a business on the 3500 block of 2nd Avenue West when a white SUV backed into his vehicle before driving away.

The victim claimed he followed the SUV to the area of 8th Avenue West and River Street West when a man came out from a home and shot the victim’s vehicle several times.

Police say the victim did not sustain any injuries.

The Prince Albert Police Service is continuing to investigate the incident and asks anyone with information or video footage to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
