Stabbing in downtown Saskatoon leaves 18-year-old with serious injuries

WATCH: An 18-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in downtown Saskatoon Wednesday evening.

An 18-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in downtown Saskatoon Wednesday evening.

At around 9:30 p.m., police were called to a home in the 900 block of 5th Street North for a report of a man seeking help following a stabbing, the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) said in a news release.

Arriving officers and paramedics found the 18-year-old man suffering from multiple, serious stab wounds.

The victim was then taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services West for further treatment.

Police believe the stabbing occurred in the downtown area, although the exact location is still unknown.

Police say the victim did not know his attackers.

The investigation continues.
