Saskatoon man wanted on Canada wide warrant arrested in Alberta

A 41-year-old Saskatoon man, wanted on Canada-wide warrant, has been arrested in Lloydminster, Alta.

Layne Antosh was wanted in connection with an extensive fraud investigation in Saskatoon, and an in-depth investigation into allegations of financial crimes including identity fraud, forgery and misrepresentation, fraudulent activities targeting individuals and businesses across multiple provinces.

Lloydminster RCMP arrested Antosh on Monday with assistance from several units including the Saskatchewan Crime Reduction Team.

Antosh was charged with fraud over $5000, identity fraud, forgery, failure to comply with release order conditions, failure to comply with probation conditions, possession of a prohibited weapon, in addition to his 10 warrants from Saskatoon police and eight warrants from Corman Park, Sask.

Antosh appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody.

His next court appearance scheduled for Jan. 30, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Lloydminster.
