The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) says the reduced hours at the Saskatoon City Hospital Emergency Department will continue until March 2.
The emergency department, which normally operates from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., has been limited to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. since Feb. 15 due to physician availability.
On Feb. 14, the SHA announced that the limited hours would be from Feb. 15 to 23.
The SHA says patients requiring emergency services outside of these hours are advised to visit either the Royal University Hospital Emergency Department or St. Paul’s Hospital Emergency Department.
For non-emergency medical concerns, the SHA says residents can call HealthLine 811 for professional health advice, visit a walk-in clinic, or consult with a pharmacist for minor health needs.
