RCMP make two arrests following suspicious death in northern Sask.

WATCH: A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old teen are facing charges following the suspicious death of 25-year-old Mason Morrison on Monday.

Following a two-day investigation into a suspicious death in the northern community of Dillon, Sask., the Saskatchewan RCMP has laid manslaughter charges.

Twenty-two-year-old Levi Noltcho from Dillon and a 17-year-old from Buffalo Narrows, who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, have been arrested and each charged with one count of manslaughter.

Police were called to the Dillon community after a report of an injured man in a home at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, where they located 25-year-old Mason Morrison from Dillon. He was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to the RCMP.

According to the RCMP, the victim’s family has been notified, and victim services have been made available to them.

RCMP say the two suspects were arrested in a home in Dillon on Monday and appeared in Buffalo River Provincial Court on Wednesday.

The RCMP’s major crimes unit continues to investigate the incident.

Dillon, Sask. is located about 450 kilometers northwest of Prince Albert.
