Saskatoon fire says crews responded to a fire in an apartment suite on Thursday evening.

The blaze was reported shortly after 8 p.m. on the 100 block of 25th Street West, according to a news release from the Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD).

Arriving crews observed smoke and flames emanating from the suite’s window before advancing hose lines to extinguish the fire, the release said.

The SFD says all occupants of the apartment building were safely evacuated, and there were no injuries reported among civilians or firefighters.

A fire investigator is conducting an examination to determine the cause, origin, and damage estimate of the blaze.
