The Saskatoon City Hospital Emergency Department will be limiting its hours due to physician availability starting on Saturday.

“The Saskatoon City Hospital Emergency Department (ED) will operate with adjusted hours from February 15-23, 2025, based on physician availability,” the Saskatchewan Heath Authority (SHA) said in a news release Friday afternoon.

According to the SHA, during this period, the emergency department will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Normally, the regular operating hours are 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

SHA says patients requiring emergency services outside of these hours are advised to visit either the Royal University Hospital Emergency Department or St. Paul’s Hospital Emergency Department.

For non-emergency medical concerns, SHA says residents can call HealthLine 811 for professional health advice, visit a walk-in clinic, or consult with a pharmacist for minor health needs.
