Crash causes traffic signal outage, road closures in Saskatoon

Published:

A collision involving a car and a traffic signal pole at the intersection of Circle Drive and Clancy Drive Sunday has caused a signal outage and road closures.

According to a news release from the City of Saskatoon, the crash damaged the traffic signal pole and as a result, northbound exits to Clancy Drive and Circle Drive have been closed.

However, the city says the southbound exits will remain open.

“Crews are working to repair the electronic system that operates the traffic signals. Northbound and southbound traffic on Circle Drive will be free-flowing and will not be impacted,” the release read.

The city says the project is expected to take one week to complete if the weather permits.

Motorists are advised to follow all signs and detours in place and to slow down when passing workers.

According to the city, transit services may also be affected by the traffic delay.
