Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says at his meeting today with Prime Minister Mark Carney he is planning to put Chinese tariffs on canola oil and meal on the table.
Beijing imposed the tariffs in response to Canadian levies on Chinese-made electric vehicles, steel and aluminum.
Carney is hosting Canada’s premiers in Ottawa as the country grapples with tariffs from China and the United States.
The meeting is taking place days before Carney is expected to launch a federal election campaign.
