The Regina Police Service (RPS) will be expanding its presence in the heart of downtown with a new office in the Cornwall Centre.
Located on the main level, near the mall’s Saskatchewan Drive entrance, the new office will not be open to the public, but will act as a workspace for the service’s new Downtown Safety Team – made up of regular personnel and alternative response officers.
“Cornwall Centre is happy to make this space available to the Regina Police Service in support of the new Downtown Safety Team,” said Kendra Wren, general manager, Cornwall Centre in the announcement.
“We are dedicated to building a stronger, more vibrant downtown for everyone, and this new office is intended to serve the greater good of the community.”
The Cornwall Centre and RPS are set to unveil the future location of the office in an event on Friday, Feb. 28. The new location is set to officially open later this spring.
