Two taken to hospital in downtown Ottawa crash

Ottawa paramedics say two people were taken to hospital after a car crash in Centretown on Saturday afternoon.

A paramedics spokesperson says emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at Kent and Catherine streets shortly before 4:40 p.m.

Four people were assessed at the scene by paramedics. Two people were transported to hospital in stable condition.

No further details were released.

Lane reductions were seen in the area for about an hour as Ottawa police cleared the scene, according to an OPS social media post.

The area has since been cleared.
