The Quyon Ferry’s 2025 season officially begins Wednesday.
Operators say the first ferry of the year will launch at 5:30 a.m.
The cable ferry, which runs on the Ottawa River between Quyon, Que. and Fitzroy Harbour in Ottawa, closes every winter but reopens in the spring.
The Quyon Ferry is the largest electric ferry on the Ottawa River and leaves a dock every 10 minutes.
Ferry service typically resumes in late March or early April. Last year, the ferry opened on March 7, its earliest opening date on record.
The ferry accepts debit or cash.
