Ottawa police say a man in his 20s was arrested at gunpoint following a road rage incident in the city’s east end.
Police said they were told about a road rage encounter in which a weapon was allegedly seen at around 2:20 p.m. Thursday.
Officers found the vehicle near the intersection of Innes and Cyrville roads and pulled the driver over.
“Due to the mention of a weapon seen, a gunpoint arrest of the driver was performed without incident,” Ottawa police said in an email to CTV News Ottawa.
The man is charged with two counts of use of an imitation firearm while attempting to commit an indictable offence and two counts of assault with a weapon or imitation weapon.
