An Ottawa resident is facing charges following an investigation into stolen vehicles in Limoges, Ont. that resulted in the execution of a search warrant Wednesday, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Police say they searched a location on Limoges Road and found and recovered a backhoe, which had been reported stolen from South Dundas Township, and a Mercedes-Benz, which had been reported stolen from Ajax.
The two vehicles have a combined value of nearly $100,000, officers add.
The 50-year-old man was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
He is scheduled to appear in court at an unspecified date.
Limoges is approximately 35 kilometres east of Ottawa. It is a growing town located in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
