Sunday morning service will be delayed for over three hours on Feb. 9.
OC Transpo says Line 1 will be fully closed between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture stations from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The closure is necessary for overnight Stage 2 systems integration work to prepare for service to be extended from Blair and Trim stations as part of the O-Train East extension, OC Transpo general manager Renee Amilcar said in a news release on Friday.
The planned work will be taking place overnight Saturday and in the morning on Sunday to minimize disruptions, Amilcar said.
“We understand that this work can be disruptive and appreciate your patience as we perform necessary maintenance. Every effort is being made to minimize disruptions to customers,” OC Transpo said on social media.
R1 bus service will run over the entirety of the line to accommodate passengers. A shuttle will also run between Cyrville and St-Laurent stations, and between Lees Station and the Mackenzie King Bridge during the closure.
Line 1 may launch earlier than 11 a.m. if work is completed ahead of schedule. R1 service will continue to run until 11:30 a.m.
Information and updates will be communicated through OC Transpo’s social media sites and its website.
