Ontario Provincial Police say a Quebec woman is facing several charges after a traffic stop on Highway 401 in eastern Ontario Thursday.
Officers on patrol on the highway spotted a vehicle with a shattered rear window near Mallorytown, Ont. at around 12:30 p.m.
The driver was pulled over without incident, but police said the vehicle was found to have been reported stolen from the Peel region. Officers arrested the driver and had the vehicle towed.
A 26-year-old woman from Saint-Jerome, Que. is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, trafficking of property obtained by crime, possession of property obtained by crime and mischief to computer data.
She is due in court in Brockville in March.
