Environment Canada’s weather forecast for Ottawa calls for a sunny day but a high of just -3 C, about five degrees colder than the average for this time of year.
Tuesday’s high hit 11.6 C before temperatures plunged overnight to -8 C by 6 a.m.
Another cold night is in store, with a low of -10 C in the forecast tonight.
Thursday’s outlook is sunny with a high of 4 C as warmer weather comes back to Ottawa.
Friday’s forecast is mainly sunny with a high of 10 C.
Double-digit highs are in the forecast for the weekend, with rain both Saturday and Sunday.
