Ontario Provincial Police in North Bay say moose collisions are on the rise.

The OPP say it has responded to five moose collisions in less than two weeks, including three in the last two days on Highway 17 in Nipissing First Nation.

Along the area some refer to as the “Sturgeon stretch,”all collisions took place at night, and some resulted in minor injuries.

Mattawa OPP has also received reports of three moose, including two calves on the road this week.
