It was a full house at the Caruso Club in Greater Sudbury Friday night for an event called Bella Donna.
Bella Donna held in advance of International Woman’s Day and was dedicated to supporting and empowering women.
“It’s the Caruso’s way of celebrating International Women’s Day,” said Diana Colilli, the club’s culture and education chairperson, in a message to CTV News.
All money raised from the event is going towards building a formal Italian learning centre inside the club.
Tickets were $75 for club members or $90 for the public. All ticket holders received a $25 income tax receipt from the Paul Colilli Foundation for their support of the centre.

The event featured many local vendors sharing their services and wares.
Dinner was held in the upper hall along with draws and silent and live auctions.
CTV News’ own Ian Campbell was at the event as one of the live auctioneers.
The event’s fundraising goal was $10,000.
Based on the live auction and the crowd at the event, that goal may have been exceeded.
