Sudbury police are investigating another shooting in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue on Tuesday night.
Officers were called just before 8 p.m. after a 35-year-old man was shot while riding in a 2024 black Ford F-150 pickup truck, Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release Wednesday.
He sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by a community member.
The “unidentified” male driver fled in the vehicle before police were called.
Officers later found the vehicle suspected to be involved in the incident unoccupied downtown.
“This is believed to be a targeted incident as the individuals involved are known to each other,” police said.
