Three people have been charged after police in Elliot Lake seized more than $460,000 in illegal drugs on Thursday.

The execution of a search warrant this week in Elliot Lake led to the discovery of more than 2,300 grams of illicit drugs, Ontario Provincial Police said Friday.

Police raided a residence on Frobel Drive at 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 6, the OPP said in a news release Friday. Officers found drugs believed to be $362,000 in fentanyl, $92,000 in cocaine and $8,500 in meth.

“Also seized was $105 in Canadian currency along with packaging, cutting and cooking materials, digital scale, vacuum sealer, blender, food colouring (and) a canister of pepper spray,” police said.

The OPP’s Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and uniform members were involved with the investigation.

Two people from Elliot Lake, ages 39 and 51, and a 32-year-old from Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation, have been charged with numerous drug trafficking offences. The 39-year-old was also charged with violating probation.
