Plans underway for this years 'Polar Plunge' in support of Special Olympics

Sudbury — Greater Sudbury Police Service Chief Paul Pederson and his officers are "Freezin’ for a Reason" as they get ready for another fundraising dip supporting Special Olympics Ontario.

The seventh annual Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, March 7 at the Ramsey Lake boat launch.

You can get involved by registering or fundraising for the cause, or making a donation.

Since 2014, the local event has raised more than $115,000 for Special Olympic athletes in Sudbury.
