A northern Ontario senior is accused of verbally attacking and assaulting a rec centre employee in Sturgeon Falls.
Officers were called to a disturbance at the West Nipissing Community and Recreation Centre on O’Hara Street around 7:25 p.m. last Friday, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Monday.
“An employee was verbally confronted by a member of the public, which escalated to an assault on the employee,” OPP said.
“There were no injuries reported.”

A 68-year-old West Nipissing woman has been charged with assault in connection with the incident.
She was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in court May 1 in North Bay.
