The North Bay Police Service have released the details related to the large police presence on Rose Avenue earlier this month.

On March 7, North Bay police with the assistance of the RCMP and Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700-block of Rose Avenue.
As a result of the joint police investigation, two men, ages 44 and 50, from North Bay have been charged. The 44-year-old faces three counts of drug trafficking, while the 50-year-old is charged with drug possession. Both men are also charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

During the search, police seized drugs suspected to be four grams of cocaine, 34 grams of crystal meth, eight Percocet pills and 26 grams of fentanyl.
“The estimated street value of the drugs seized in this incident is approximately $8,350,” said police in a news release Monday.
A BB handgun was also confiscated from the residence.
“Based on initial information and because of concern about the presence of chemicals and other potentially dangerous substances, the resources of our partners were utilized to ensure public safety,” North Bay Police Insp. Scott McFarlane said in the release.
Nearby residences were evacuated as a precautionary measure. No drug lab was found at the location.

The 44-year-old accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing, while the 50-year-old was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.
In the news release, the NBPS thanked the RCMP, OPP, and North Bay Fire and Emergency Services for their assistance, adding, “By working together, we help make our communities safer for everyone.”
