FOR LEGO LOVERS: More than 100 sculptures from Sean Kenney's Brick Masters Studio on display at Science North in Sudbury.

A travelling art exhibit based entirely on Legos has its world premiere at Sudbury’s Science North this week.

CTV News got a sneak peek of the Brick Masters Studio, which will include interactive exhibits and more than 100 sculptures built with two million Lego pieces.

The sculptures were designed by Sean Kenney, a world-renowned artist who uses Lego bricks as a medium for his work.

“We get a look into Sean’s imagination in this exhibit,” said Science North CEO Ashley Larose.

Bring Legos to life

“He can come up with these ideas and figure out a way, using science, to bring them to life using Lego bricks.”

Amy Henson, Science North’s senior scientist, said the exhibit allows visitors to explore things like colour and shape.

“How do we take an idea in our head and actually make it into a 3D object like this?” Henson said.

“It’s a really exciting place to explore, have fun and build and just become a better Lego builder.”

The exhibit runs from Feb. 14 until Sept. 1 and will then continue its North American tour.
