Hwy. 69 reopens near Magnetawan River Bridge

Sudbury — The highway has now reopened, the OPP tweeted Thursday afternoon.

The Ontario Provincial Police in West Parry Sound have closed Highway 69 about halfway between Sudbury and Parry Sound.

The road is closed "near Hwy. 529 at the Magnetawan River Bridge due to proximity of fire to the highway," police said in a tweet Thursday.

"Updates will be provided when highway is re-opened."
