A 43-year-old man from North Bay has been identified as the victim killed in the fatal crash on Highway 11 Thursday.
David Hope was travelling southbound on Highway 11 North when his vehicle collided with a northbound commercial motor vehicle, said police in a news release.
Members of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the serious motor vehicle collision shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 5.
The collision occurred near Sand Dam Road, the OPP said in a tweet Thursday.
"(Hope) was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver of the CMV was not injured," the OPP said.
The investigation is on-going with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team.
