Freezing rain is expected this morning in Greater Sudbury, Environment Canada said in a warning Thursday.
“Freezing rain with two to five mm of ice build-up possible,” the warning said.

“Changing to snow later this morning. After the changeover the snow across the region this morning, five cm accumulation may be possible before the snow tapers off late this morning or this afternoon.”
Environment Canada said the freezing rain warning replaces the winter storm warning that was previously in effect.
“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery,” the warning said.
“Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.”
