Businesses will not be penalized by the outage that affected some of Revenu Québec’s online services.
The agency announced on Friday that it was postponing until next Monday, Feb. 3, the date for filing certain forms that were due on Friday, Jan. 31.
These forms relate to tax obligations that businesses must fulfil. These tax obligations concern the filing of the following returns, which were due on Jan. 31, 2025: GST/HST and QST; tax on lodging; tax on the paid transport of persons; specific duty on new tyres; tax on insurance premiums; and tax for 911.
The same applies to the corporate income tax instalments due on Jan. 31.
Revenu Québec also assures that no penalty or interest will be payable by those who are unable to file their return or make their payment on Jan. 31, 2025, but who do so by Feb. 3, 2025.
