A 42-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Montreal’s Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.
Montreal police say they received several 911 calls around 4:30 p.m. about the collision. Preliminary information suggests the man, who was going south on Pie-IX Boulevard, slipped and fell under the northbound bus.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries to his lower body and was taken to hospital in critical condition. As of 8:20 p.m., police said his life is out of danger.
An investigation is ongoing.
