An Owen Sound woman is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle while shoveling snow.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police say a car on 8th Street struck the back of another car parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights on.
The parked vehicle was pushed forward from the impact and struck the 24-year-old woman shoveling snow.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a London hospital with serious injuries.
The 29-year-old man driving the vehicle that caused the crash remained at the scene and police said he has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.
