Teen driver charged in Norfolk collision that sent two to hospital

A 17-year-old driver is facing serious charges after a collision in Simcoe on Monday afternoon.

Just before 3:00 p.m., police say that the young driver was involved in a collision on Norfolk Street North.

According to Norfolk OPP, the young driver operating an SUV collided with a pickup truck resulting in minor injuries to both drivers, who were taken to hospital.

The 17-year-old now faces several charges including dangerous operation, failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a vehicle with a G1 license without a licensed driver in the front street, and failure to surrender a driver’s license.
