For just the fifth time in the school’s history, the Sacred Heart Catholic Highschool Crusaders are OFSAA champions.
The Walkerton based high school boys hockey team captured the OFSAA boys championship, in the AA division, Thursday night in Sudbury.
The Crusaders were undefeated in round robin and playoff action, going 6-0.
It is very rare for a school from Midwestern Ontario to win such a title, as the Crusaders, were playing against teams from much larger cities and regions.
It’s just the fifth OFSAA title for Sacred Heart in any sport, but the second OFSAA title in boys hockey, as the Crusaders also took home the top prize in 2019.
