Nearly $15,000 in drugs and other contraband seized in Sarnia has led to charges for a two residents.
Sarnia police say that in the third warrant executed at the same residence in the past year, members of the police K9 and other units executed searches on Thursday. The warrants had them search both a residence in the 200 block of Elgin Street, and a storage facility at another location.
Two adults and one young person inside the residence were taken in to custody. A search of the residence yielded the following:
- 2.97 grams of crack cocaine (street value: $300)
- 111.34 grams of powdered cocaine (street value: $13,360)
- 5.28 grams of crystal methamphetamine (street value: $158)
- 82.5 pills of 8mg Dilaudid (hydromorphone) (street value: $825)
- $220 in cash
- A search of a related vehicle resulted in the seizure of a set of brass knuckles.
Police say that the total value of drugs seized amounts to $14,643.
A 35-year-old Sarnia man now faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
In addition, a 28-year-old Sarnia woman faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
